How to Use/Navigate this Website

  • The front page will be devoted to new content–‘blog posts’. This is where new projects, ideas, content related to these lacemaking types/techniques, etc. can be shared.
  • The ‘Header’ (underneath the websites title & the 4 images of the laces) will have the ‘pages’ of the main content:
    • ‘HOME’ will click you back to the front page of the website.
    • ‘Blog Posts’ should give you better access to the shared content.
    • ‘Lace Art Types’ has 4 subpages, each one devoted to the specific lace types/techniques of ‘Teneriffe/Sol Lace’, ‘Romanian Point Lace’, ‘Carrickmacross Lace’, and ‘Filet Lace’. It is here that I hope to organize all information that relates to that particular lace type.
    • ‘About’ is where you can find information about me (who I am, my background, etc) as well as a page called ‘Classes & Teaching’ in which you can find a link to another website that I have created to showcase some of the classes that I could teach for you with an up-to-date ‘Fiber Art Teaching Resume’ that outlines my experience. ‘Wholesale Information’ is there for future information regarding how retailers can purchase my kits at wholesale prices. (Right now, just call or email me for information–let’s discuss it!).
  • The Footer (at the bottom of the main page) has all my contact information. I want you to be comfortable knowing that I’m a real person and have more trust in our relationship, both online and off. In the Footer there are also active links to the various pages (so you don’t have to go to the top of the page to access them).

Needle Lace Arts???- What is this website about?!

Needle Lace Arts is the website for Karen Bovard-Sayre’s interests in the needle-lace arts of Teneriffe/Sol Lace, Romanian Point Lace, Carrickmacross Lace, & Filet Lace.

Karen’s other interest of tatting is focused on in her other website/business of The ShuttleSmith (www.TheShuttleSmith.com). Instead of muddying TheShuttleSmith with a totally different form of lacemaking, Karen decided to start this, a totally new website, to showcase her interests in these 4 needle-made laces.
